We are great with TV but we are getting crushed on the P.R. [Public Relations] front. President George W. Bush when asked by NBC News reporter Brian Williams on August 29, 2006 why there is so much anti-American sentiment and out-right hatred for America in many parts of the world.
In view of President Bushs statement, we feel compelled to ask again a question we raised about 10 days ago: Where is Karen Hughes?
More precisely, Where is the United States campaign of truth and honesty in the Middle East? Not long ago, a thug named Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader, emerged from the shadows to become, in just over a month, one of the more important political figures of Lebanon and one of the leaders of the Arab worlds radical wing.

Who knows..... maybe she is in stealth mode doing her thang.
Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes has been tasked by President Bush with leading efforts to promote America's values and confront ideological support for terrorism around the world. She oversees three bureaus at the Department of State: Educational and Cultural Affairs, Public Affairs, and International Information Programs, and participates in foreign policy development at the State Department.

Or do you just reflexively assume that a new poster is a troll? I reflexively assume a new poster is Karen Hughes.
Or Karen Carpenter.

LOL, the US cannot get away with propaganda, the leftwing media will not allow it.
When we tried to diss Mr. Z in Iraq with the outtakes of his terrorist video, showing how he got burned by the hot barrel of his gun, ect, the MSM immediately explained it away and defended him.
They also announced that it was US propaganda.
So tired old Blame Bush meme does not work.

It would help us if the media in our own country actually didn't support the terrorists. But they sill stoop to any level just to go against Bush, even if that means being traitorous to their own country.

John, Welcome to Free Republic!
Your first FR post looks fine to me. Some folks have an itchy trigger finger around here. Take it with a grain of salt. :-)

"Any reason y'all think this should be zotted? Or do you just reflexively assume that a new poster is a troll?" The sporkweasel just issued the all clear signal.*
* The all clear signal consists of three short blasts of a whistle followed by a short ukulele riff and then ending again with three short blasts. Tiny Tim may be used if deemed necessary.

"Didnt the president hire his Texas friend Karen Hughes, with a salary clearly over $150,000 a year, to do for the U.S. just what Nasrallah is doing in his spare time? I mean, am I the only one outraged?"
I am outraged too but for a different reason than you. I am outraged that the president hired an amateur to do such an important job. The reason I know she is an amateur is that no professional would even think of doing the job for $150,000 a year. It's peanuts.
An average US company without international sales spends millions on public relations. International companies spend even more. So I gotta ask "What do you expect for $150.000"?

Hey, I jumped the gun. No I'm not a member who reflexively assumes a new poster is a troll. It sort of had a whiff of ozone to it and his screen name didn't help. Once I read more of his posts I decided he wasn't a troll, but there is no undo button for FR. Is that explanation okay w/you or do you need blood?

"Once I read more of his posts I decided he wasn't a troll, but there is no undo button for FR"Yeah, need one of those "remove comment" buttons like the mods.
