>The New York Times front page profile on my friend, Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), "Star of the Right Loses His Base at the Border," is really all about the anti-immigration, far-right group led by Tom Tancredo.

No, Larry, it's not about immigration.

It's all about trying to sabotage the career of a fast-rising conservative Republican.

It's about lines such as "Pence is in (reelection) trouble" in a district that went more than 65% for both Pence and Bush last election. His lead there is so solid that even left-of-center Congressional Quarterly rates the district "Safe Republican."

Finally it's an example of how Conservatives surrender the media to the Libs by chasing our tails trying to reply to the Ultra-Left NYT and its publisher, Pink Pinch.

This reminds me of the time the WaPo ran a story naming what it called the "12 Dumbest Members of Congress" and one idiot called a press conference, complete with reporters from his home state papers, to claim he should not have been named among the 12 supposed congressional dummies. All Mr. Kudrow has succeeded in doing is ensuring another few million people who were too smart to read the NYT will now be a little bit less confident of Mr. Pence.

We have the rope and correctness of position to lasso in a few more votes.... and we use the rope to hang ourselves.

Precisely. And all the while, the Rudy Guliani Noo Yawk Liberal Shill Brigade fawns over a LIBERAL as the alleged Republican 'front runner'.

That is just plain tedious.

Of course, the MSM wouldn't be trying to muck things up now, would they?
