The National Hurricane Center has discontinued hurricane watches for all of Florida as of 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
A tropical storm warning remains in effect from Englewood on Florida's west coast southward to Altahama Sound in Georgia. This area includes all of the Florida Keys and Lake Okeechobee.
A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected in the area in about 12 to 24 hours.
A tropical storm watch is in effect for the area north of Englewood to Tarpon Springs....

FYI.
Damn that Karl Rove and his weather machine!
LOL...
Now Rush can move back to the EIB Southern Command. Probably fueling up EIB One right now.
That language is reserved for the endless JB Ramsey threads about John Karr. HE petered out.
I don't know; they say to expect a lot of rain all week.
But...but...but the "media" guys are all depressed. They all had new rubbers they wanted to try out.
I guess it is safe to resume driving through low water crossings. :)
To tell you the truth, I never understood why they go out in the rain or in a hurricane. I mean, it looks ridiculous to see them pointing to a tree just to say the wind is blowing "as you can see" or whatever. People can look out their window and see, too.
Not really! :)
I think his 15 minutes of fame are up.
Yeah but the anchor babe paddling her canoe in the ankle deep water last year was priceless. I still crack up about that one.
All the newsies will just have to save their inflections and panic voices for the next one.
I'm glad Florida is getting some rain, we could use a nice three day rain in Al.
I'm also pleased that Ernesto, at the time of this forecast, will not cause widespread destruction.
The only caveat that I will add is the simple fact that if Ernesto causes a large tree to uproot and fall on the home of an innocent family its path, this weather event morphs into a tragedy.
Oh! No! What happen to Gobal Warming? Oh Dear! Oh Dear!
Darn, I was hoping to see Shepard Smith chained to a light pole when the hurricane hit yelling about how President Bush failed Florida.
Drama........ratings.........makes 'em feel good.
Watch the Weather Channel...
They are, after all, THE HURRICANE EXPERTS.....just ask Jimmy C.
If they would stick with the "fact reporting" thing instead of doing crap like you said and having on-screen orgasms about "HOW BAD IT IS GOING TO BE"....I would think different.
What do you see today? Nothing but Katrina. Kat was bad, no doubt. Nagin and Blanko were worse. But I don't see any other "anniversary" stuff about previous kick-butt hurricanes. ??
And why do we see all the "How bad Kat really was" crap?
No hurricanes as of today.
They are in shock....dumbfounded....that GWB's totally inept, green hating, world enviro-dissing, big oil loving, poor people hating administration...has not caused a single Atlantic hurricane (impact USA) this season.
Karl, whassup, bro? Lost interest this year?
The WC is all into the global warming thing (since the invite to the WH under B Crintoon), as is most other LSM outlets.
The good news for the WC is that now they are predicting that Ernesto (very weak TS) will, after just killing Florida with some heavy rain, maybe) will seek out it's natural feeding ground (the Atlantic) again, grow into a monster storm and completely wipe the rest of the East coast off the face of the earth.
Yeah, all that LL Bean rain gear just sitting in the closet--what a shame!
