Not only did Fitzy know, but I would expect most of the media knew....yet they perpetuated their false story all along. Once again, proving the media is nothing but scum. This story is making me sicker and sicker by the day. Where is the judge in this case? This thing should be dismissed, apologies should be issued, Fitzy should be fired, and Tony Snow should make a big stink in an upcoming press conference. President should also weigh in at some point as well, imho. What a waste of tax payer money, what a waste of good people's reputations, what a waste all around.

When you have Schmucky Schumer praise the prosecutor as a prosecutor's prosecutor, you should know that the guy is a piece of sh*t and is a rat with an agenda.

Re: hy did Fitzgerald let a cloud hang over White House adviser Karl Rove's head for so long?

He didn't, the democrat party did, and they got it WRONG.

Re: Why is Fitzgerald continuing to hound Libby, the former vice presidential chief of staff?

He didn't, the democrat party did, and they got it WRONG.

I've said it from day one that Anal Fitzgerald always had that guilty/"I'm hiding something" look and feel during his news conferences. It was so obvious.

"sham?"
I won't tell ya "I told ya so."

Fitzgerald spent the last three years "investingating" what any beat cop in America could have determined in a day.
Valerie Plame was not a covered CIA covert agent.
Valerie Plame was a CIA desk jockey, nothing more.

And Fitzgerald owes the Federal government & the American taxpayers his salary & expenses for the past three years for this sham!

If you think this was dirty politics, wait and see what happens should the Dems manage a majority in the House. The articles of impeachment are already written and the truth has nothing to do with anything.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald refused to reveal to the public the true source. From top to bottom, this has been one of the most disgraceful abuses of prosecutorial power in this country's history.

'Disgraceful' is the right word.

Fitzgerald's contention in October that Libby was "the first official known to have told a reporter . . . about Valerie Wilson" may therefore have been a lie.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald refused to reveal to the public the true source. From top to bottom, this has been one of the most disgraceful abuses of prosecutorial power in this country's history. That it's taking place at a time of war only magnifies its sordidness.

Hard to argue with that.

It seems to me that Fitzgerald needs to be investigated, and the Justice Department would be entirely within its jurisdiction to do so. Are their any Republicans in Congress with the spine to take the floor and demand that Fitzgerald be investigated?

Found something interesting yesterday:

Kerry Exploring Cabinet Options

An excerpt:

A dark-horse candidate for defense, some said, is Richard L. Armitage, Bush's second in command at the State Department.

Remember...all of the players involved worked for the Kerry campaign. Could Armitage have sold his soul for a potential Cabinet position? Powell and Armitage were definitely not team players:

Baring one of Washington's worst-kept secret, Secretary of State Colin Powell's deputy said he and Powell sometimes went public with their dissenting views to try to influence Bush administration policy.

Armitage says he and Powell went public to try to sway Bush
