Bump! Hurricane off Mexico now Category 4! John is offshore but its reach is broad and it's still growing. Hopefully it will head on out to sea.

I was in Cabo when the last hurricane hit town. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Imagine being in Mexico, no power, no water, no flights and sewers backing up into the streets. Luckily I was at the Hacienda Beach Hotel (which is now gone) and they had their own water and a backup generator. If I was in Baja right now I'd be getting out in a hurry.
