Fire protection is already witheld from those who have excessive fuels around their home. Making that determination is entirely up to our latter-day unionized and and politically correct fire crews.

OK, here's a nickel's worth of free advice:

Get off of the computer and get that brush cleared away. It's exercise, it's good for you.

You have no idea what an ass you just made of yourself. The difference in the degree to which my property has been thinned compared to its surroundings can be seen from twenty thousand feet. It's already done, well beyond CDF regulations, which can preclude the necessary removals. It's taken fifteen years of brutal and dangerous work.

Given that there are parts of these mountains where a property owner can be fined $1500 for "adverse pruning," what makes you think they'll be allowed to thin their property before it burns? Don't be an idiot.
