"Hardly a globalist."

CAFTA

Trans Texas Corridor

Lack of any measure of border security in light of being handed the golden opportunity after 911.
Globalist through and through.

Hey, I'm all for border security. I want an electirc fence and any trespassers shot.

Nonetheless, just because Bush doesn't follow my lead, don't make him a RINO. He's a man among boys.

I am quite pleased with Pence and near fed up with the AMNESTY "open borders" reactionaries. Your candidate has a name-- it is Pat Buchannan. This party has debated the merits of your position. You lost. If you take comfort in bringing Dems to power this fall go ahead-- but if you think you will blackmail me, Pence or any other conservative with your over the top indictments you are sadly mistaken. The compromises toward increased border security are ample concessions toward the anti immigrant positions and no I will not refer to it as anti illegal immigration.

Standing up and cheering!

A most EXCELLENT post!!!

Yeah, that old free trade has no benefits for America, does it. Keep reading Patty and Jerome and you too can be like them someday.

Yea, NAFTA was such a hit.

I'm so glad all those factories were built in mexico to put the mexicans to work down there...stopping them from crossing our borders illegally. Such a win/ win situation. Keep reading the k00laid labels.

Good night.

Interesting how we are seeing a lot of these kinds of attacks on conservatives from the leftist media lately. It seems their strategy is to get the right disgusted enough to stay home and not vote. Well, forewarned is forearmed.

No, it's a stupid post.

If the pro-amnesty Republicans stay home, a few seats will fall.

If the anti-amnesty (pro-law abiding) Republicans stay home, Hello Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid.

This election can be a Republican landslide if the RINOs and the elites get off their amnesty/open borders delusion and get in sync with the outside-the-Beltway voter.

I won't be surprised if pretty soon these open-border Republican elites start giving out "Si, Se Puede" bumper stickers.

Har. There aren't quite as many of you as you think.

And, frankly, the rest of us are sick and tired of hearing you threaten to stay home.

Stay the hell home; people like you don't need to vote anyway. You've no better than a liberal, always threatening somebody with a vote.

By all means, take credit for handing the power of this country over to the liberals to make your point.

Idiots, the lot of you.

Well maybe someday it will work, since several of our major Aircraft Industries are moving to Mexico. GE, Honeywell and others are building or have built multi-million dollar mfg plants in Mexico. I doubt Mexico will allow Americans to cross the border and chase their lost jobs, though. :( :(

Perpetually genial, prematurely gray, Mr. Pence, 47, said, “I was taken aback by the level of invective.”...

He should not have been at all surprised.

The "my-way-or-the-highway" unappeaseables have been stomping their feet and cutting their own throats for the last 25 years.

Great post. It is good to see more people standing up to the extremists. Pense's plan is a reasonable proposal that is a step in the right direction. We need to make the best out of a bad situation.

You are SLANDERING MIke Pence, who is the top conservative in Congress, by calling his plan "open borders" and "no enforcement".Say what you what about the guest worker portion of the plan, but the rest of the plan DOES SEAL the border and it IS enforcement first.

Excellent, the malcontents are showing their true colors with thier embrace of this NYT hit piece on Pence, showing IMO, they only care about themselves and not modern conservatism.

"...they only care about themselves and not modern conservatism."

Is that what you call it now, modern conservatism?
If open borders and more concern about alien invaders than U.S. citizens is now a form of "conservatism" than the liberals really have taken over.

At least Ronald Reagan realized he had been had on amnesty and regretted his support of it. When are you going to wise up and realize your position on illegal aliens is not only wrong but liberal. Not "modern conservatism" but liberal.
