One City Council members idea to limit illegal immigrants in Farmers Branch has prompted a plan by opponents to promote and sell homes in the city to Hispanics - including illegal immigrants.
A group of Hispanic and civil rights groups Monday announced Compre Farmers Branch, a consortium of real estate agents, lending institutions and others aimed at helping Hispanics buy homes in Farmers Branch.
Theyre hoping Hispanics will buy all 157 homes they say are on the market in that city - including the home of City Council member Tim OHare.
Mr. OHare has come under fire by the groups for suggesting the city consider adopting local ordinances that would make it harder for illegal immigrants to live and work in the city. The ideas include penalizing landlords and employers who lease property or employ illegal immigrants, making English the citys official language and eliminating subsidies for illegal immigrant children to participate in some of the citys youth programs.

Let 'em buy homes in Texas.
Our senior citizens're heading their way and will own that country in a decade or two. Mexico is cooked, and these damn idiots don't know it.
Wait till the AARP and the Grey Panthers stir things up down there. There're too many granny ladies spending daddy's pension money for the corrupt Mexican Police department to put 'em all in the hoozegow.
We could buy the entire place with our Visa cards, and still have money left over.
It's sad that Hispanic *leaders* want to associate themselves with those engaged in illegal activity. And sadly, it paints ALL Hispanics with that same brush in the minds of many.

so much for equal housing rules.
