"And the people in the CIA and State Department who have purposefully harmed this administration are going to go unpunished, despite the fact that they are obligated by law to follow what the administration wants done. Disgusting traitors!"

If this administration doesn't have the strength to punish those that actively seek to subvert their policies maybe they don't deserve to be THE ADMINISTRATION. I am so tired of them being victims.

The real crime is the way Libby has been hung out to dry and is forced to spend his personal fortune to protect himself.

Re post 13; it seems to me Libby has good grounds to sue Armitage to recover his legal fees.

Attorney General Ashcroft recused himself from what was a trivial case instead of standing up on his hind legs and saying that there was no crime.

And what would have been the tragedy in outting Armitage if they knew he was the "perp?" Armitage was apparently Colin Powell's guy, and that would have been entirely sufficient cover for Bush/Ashcroft to dismiss this whole witch hunt at a saving of many millions of dollars. Not to mention saving political capital for the Administration.

But noooo - just like the "Sixteen Words" retraction, appologizing for something which was not wrong in the first place just puts blood in the water rather than appeasing the objective journalists bullies.
