Everyone knows that only people from the destroyed planet of Krypton can get their nourishment solely from the sun.

Kinda makes it tough for the Kryptonians locked up indoors in the arctic in the Bottle City of Kandor! However, I think we can see that that guy got his outfit inspiration from Kal-El/Superman's dad, Jor-El (The Brando version is a phony from Earth-S or something like that)

I worked for a week in Meriden back in '89.
I found it to be a very cruddy, depressed town. Hopefully, thing have changed in the past 17 years.
