My wishcasting days were over on August 13, 2004. By the time September 2004 was over, I'd decided that if I never saw a hurricane again it'd be too soon.
After the 2004 triple header (Charile, Francis, Jeanne), I never want another one of these things to come close to me. Even a weak Cat 1 knocked power out for 3 days. I can't inagine going for weeks without A/C in September here.
LOL, Cape Coral here, and I share your sentiment. That time was just relentless, wasn't it? By the third one, people just didn't bother to take the boards/shutters down for a good month later, they got so sick of the up and down.
