I don't think the center is going to be over Florida that long. I'm afraid it might ride the gulf stream futher offshore, stenghtening as it goes, coming in as a Cat 2 or a little higher before hitting the Carolina coast.
I hope I'm wrong. Time will tell.

Ernesto is finally feeling the ridge to the north. This westward bend was expected, but I (and many others) figured it would be way sooner. Could be interesting if it continues out to open water... but, it's keeping the center over land longer now.
