ALL the original convection, including the eastern section, is now over a degree of latitude away. There is one leetle storm where they say the center is. And as you said, the air all the way to Florida looks very dry on the WV image.
Our (Tampa) local news hasn't stopped doom 'n glooming all afternoon. It was almost like they weren't actually looking at the same storm.
Miami weather says there are u/l lows in the west and in the north that are funneling dry air down into the storm from the NW.
