Whether you win or lose, you should be questioning the premise of your party, Mr. Carville!

You don't need to post the article, it's written by Al Hunt. That's all anyone needs to know.

You're right. I'm just amazed at Carville. Why hasn't more of Mary Matalin rubbed off on him?

The Republicans in office are letting them win by not standing up and defending their own positions. We can win by exposing the other side but nope, too much work for them.

``We have to go back to 1974 (during Watergate) to find such a favorable environment,'' says James Carville, who ran Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. ``If we can't win in this environment, we have to question the whole premise of the party.''
carville said the same exact thing before the '04 election.

Two words that should frighten every reasonable American: Speaker Pelosi.

I hope the Dem's don't win. But if the Republicans aren't going to propose any program or do anything to benefit the people of this country, besides just spending money then they deserve what they get. But, do we deserve the Dem's? The GOP has been in to long it is like Bush 1 all over again. Unfortunately if the Dem's win they will have been in to long from day 1. What is a person to do?

(While Clinton isn't fit even to scrape Reagan's shoes, Bush will never fill them!)
To: seanmerc
What the article didn't mention is that Carville already sent out a mailing warning dems that the GOP would "steal" senate races in six states.
Hmmmm. Never heard winners complain about "stolen" elections.

The Republican Party has become a disgrace. If the RNC and Bush actually 1) proposed deep spending cuts and 2) sealing the border with Mexico, the Republicans would actually gain seats.
What is the Republican agenda for this year's election?

Yep GOP has control of congress and the presidency because of GRASSROOTS efforts by citizens who hate the democrats and NOT because of any effort on the part of the wimped out spineless GOP

Al Hunt.
Didn't he use up his 15 minutes a few years ago on CNN "The Most (dis)Trusted Name In News"?

(The Shah doesn't look so bad now, eh? But nooo, Jimmah said the Ayatollah was a 'godly' man.)
To: seanmerc
Yep. And we have a lot of republicans sandbagging the pollsters. Why not? Let our pols twist in the breeze and sweat for a while. We're still going to kick their arses. I predict the polls are WAY off this time because people really are dissatisfied with the pubies, but I don't sense any appeal from the leftist cabal that's in charge of the so-called loyal opposition.

For some reason that puker reminds me of the alledged Jonbenet Ramsey killer, whom Glen Beck is now calling "Captain Highpants."

GRASSROOTS effortsIf that were really true I'd think we'd be getting some grassroots candidates in there instead of these checked pants country club elitists.
