I agree with you Samantha. The crazies got their message across (much like the Corleones sending out Clemenza to sit on Tataglia). Western media openly smears FOX as being pro-Bush, and there is nothing Islamofacists can't stand as Boosh and his supporters. They leaned hard on FOX, and showed how easy it is to kidnap these reporters, how easy they got by with it, and how they were hailed for their humanity and being good hosts after the deed is done.

There was a time in the world when people did not readily renounce their faith and accept another religion. They call those people of conscience saints or martyrs. Those who convert out of convenience or even fear for their lives really aren't worth much in the grand scope of things.

I guess modern "reporters" believe they have to check their morality, character, loyalty, nationality and objectivity at the door. What a pathetic group of people.

Understood. This really is probably the biggest problem in DC. The political party boss system has been replaced by unions and the public has little understanding of what happened.

This is exactly why Bush was opposed to the TSA being union.

While I was composing my reply (#421). I see you came up with something I totally agree with (#418). American news reporters or broadcasters sending signals into the USA have no business providing sympathetic coverage of the enemy and/or from enemy territory.

Also, the WOT is supposed to encompass all terrorists, anyone we have labeled as such, so we should be after Hamas and all the other terrorists groups across the globe. Surgical strikes, like Israel performed in Northern Lebanon, to keep the terrorists off balance. Therefore, Gaza is a free fire zone, and American reporters should not be there.

It must have been Oliver Thomas, (Democart) President of the New Orleans' City Council. He's actually been making statements I would have liked to see explored. Snippets make me think that he was going to point fingers at the mayor and state officials, not the feds. You wonder if someone messed with his electric service so that his alarm didn't work?

Get a grip. Neither of these reporters went into the Gaza as missionaries for their faith. Neither you nor I have any idea what their religious commitment is. Whatever a kidnapped person says at the barrel of a gun is not valid.

I know you are busy on the Ernesto thread...and have a lot to think about...

But earlier I posted to you that Turkey firing at the Kurds in Iraq...may be the PKK?

Here is an article that was sent to me...and it give a LOT of information about the PKK..and the difference between them and Iraqi Kurds...and why, perhaps, the USA and Iraq and "letting" Turkey try to shoot at them.

I hope you get a chance to read it...but if you are too busy..you might want to save it for future use..it helped me.

#405, where I am in Florida it is on what is called the Lake Wales Ridge,which is the Highest area above Sea Level in the State,and is very distinct on the Map. The Ridge runs from Just above Lake Wales in Polk County(about 45 miles SW of DisneyWorld) all the way almost to Glades County. If you are driving south just about 40 miles or so North of a Town called Moore Haven it drops off and is like the bottom of a big bowl. Nothing drains,but it is basically part of the Everglades there, where they grow mostly Sugar Cane. We still get flooding here even though we are fairly high for Florida,but that is what flood control canals are for if the Local and/or State Government has it's head on straight. Publix has a really good Bakery,and makes good Rye Bread,and their Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies are excellent.They make Donuts to rival Dunkin Donuts also,and have a good Breakfast Bread. It is a good thing I stay away from Carbs. I am not sure about the Rolls you are talking about. Publix has to do better in so many ways because Walmart cleans their clock on prices.

I guess there were a few exceptions on the Supreme Court, or is that the Surreal Court. Correct me if I am mis remembering,but I recall Earl Warren was not a Judge or A Lawyer.

Your posts in 429 and 430 probably eptomize the majority American view now days. Say what you have to to get out of a tough situation and it doesn't mean anything if coerced. [Does everone who gets to view these films know it was coerced? No.]. Whether it is at the point of a gun or just a cop's failure to read a career criminal Miranda warnings, doesn't really matter. What I am saying is "there was a time and place" that peoples' words meant something (and they weren't all "missionaries"). There were people who would not utter things they did not mean to say ever on pain of death. You think that is fairy tale or long ago lore. But any Jihadist is that committed. You call them fanatics. I was being semi-silly about the "height" of land in Florida. The mid part of the peninsula is so obviously at a lower level, when traveling I-75, that it's amazing. What are the two highest mountains in Florida? Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain.

If you live in Central Florida do you get to WDW or Seaworld often? We have friends who work at both parks. At WDW our best friends are cast members at The Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island. At Seaworld we are friends with both the killer whale trainers and the killer whales (really). If you ever have call to go to either park let me know in advance and I'll try to FedEx you some candy from Memphis (Dinstuhl's Crunch) which went a long way to making us their friends. It would be a hoot to introduce a few Freepers to our Disney and Seaworld friends, but you can't give the candy to the whales...  <g>

My kids spent 7 straight Christmas eves with the folks at Adventurers Club.  They spent about 5 New Years eves with the killer whales at Seaworld (literally with the whales).  It kind of warped them, but in a nice way.
