Well, you do have to admit the biggest reason the Pali's weren't happy about this kidnapping is that it had no self-serving purpose. In fact, it hurt their "cause".

While it was a slight move forward to hear mosques around the world were praying for their release, I don't think it really means much in the long run if this was a kidnapping that would have furthered the cause of the Palestinian people, the condemnation would not have come.
