Per Fox News
< Ailes just backed it up live. He said he received a call that they had a tape, and it was "somewhat problematic". Fox aired the conversion tape. That is propaganda. The men were released after the tape aired. That was not coincidence. >
All things considered, such a small thing to do to get these guys back alive. When we refuse to value life, we become like them. JMHO
I see, only your interpretation of the story is valid. Good to know!
So you object to the tape being aired. Fine. I don't object at all and feel they did the correct thing.
But I will note that your feeling that Fox is being used for propoganda is an entirely different thing than your earlier posts that said that the entire media had converted to Islam. ROFL
CNN and MSNBC's giving the stage to Fox this morning is a tip of the hat. Everyone will tune in Fox, and that's fitting.
Excuse me- I should have prefaced it with: In my opinion...
The intelligence agencies need to keep a keen eye on these reporters when they get back in case they have been brainwashed into sleeper agents.
Very interesting interpretation on your part.
Agreed. The point is that the media aired Islamic propaganda. And some here deny that.
< Centanni was the only one to mention God and the talking heads dismissed it as an "emotional reaction",
Glad that they were released alive. But the price paid to the kidnappers may have been more than questionable conversion.
Could be that Rupert Murdoch's Fox corporation - their employers - put up some cash and/or agreed that their news coverage will be tilted more toward the Islamists and away from the West. Murdoch seems to be cozying up to a lot of lefties lately, most prominently HRC.
Thanks for confirming what I thought too. Some freepers are engaging in just a tad too much hyperbole for a fine Sunday morning. LOL
Who offered praise and respect for Mohammed?
Every time you read or hear the phrase, "The Prophet Mohammed" in a news report, you have just observed "praise and respect for Mohammed". The only thing missing is "pbuh", and frankly I would not be surprised to see it included too within the next year or so at the rate things are headed.
And if you think I'm being "oversensitive", then puhleeze let me know the last time (or even the next time!) you hear these same "media voices" reference "The Savior Jesus" in a news report. (Note, quoting a source in a story does not count. I'm speaking of the reporter using his own words, to routinely invoke that appellation, as is commonly done for "The Prophet" -- at least, since 9/11.)
Let's cut to the chase.
The media fears the islamists, and using the phrase, "The Prophet Mohammed" is considered a no-cost insurance premium to "avoid offending" them. The media does NOT fear Christians (after all, unlike Islamists, Christians won't go medieval on you if you offend them), thus, Christians, rather than receiving solicitous kowtowing, are treated with condescending if not outright contemptuous terminology.
If not for these factors, then either both phrases would be used, or neither would be used. Logically, it's IMO a no-brainer: neither would be used. But, because of the fear of muslims, muslims get the "respectful" treatment.
And lest anyone think I take this matter lightly, I would call you to consider the case of one Salman Rushdie, who "offended the Islamists", and now lives -- year after year after year -- with the knowledge that there are thousands of eager folk ready to kill him if only they get the opportunity. Already, several innocents HAVE been murdered by these ROP-members, for the "sin" of having worked with Rushdie (i.e., his Japanese translator and others).
It's serious business.
Only if they can afford the catering bill. Mass quantities of candy and pastries can get expensive in a hurry!
Um, you say you didn't mean THEIR brand of "justice"? Sorry, my bad.
That conversion tape is foreshadowing. Someday people will be taking the mark, and saying "I just did it so I could live". And people will be saying .... it's okay.. take the mark, you need to eat, your family needs you, it doesn't really mean anything.
No one is going to be impressed with this conversion!
The kidnappers needed to save face and this is how they did so. No one is going to believe their propaganda except those who sympathize with their murderous goals.
They are now in Israel:)
THAT'S the post I've been looking for! Praise be to God.
In no way will I condemn these men's performance under duress on the video. If that little skit was what was necessary to get home, it was a small price to pay because the real God (who is not Allah btw), knows what is in their hearts and minds and souls and what's been going on.
Thankyou Dear Lord for prayers answered!
I know all about Salmon Rushdie and have read all his books.
But you're lumping all the media together and I've heard many, many reporters on FNC refer to Islam as being filled with Islamofascists. I've heard such extreme language used in the last few weeks that a time or two I thought they should be more cautious for a variety of reasons.
And I've regularly heard FNC reporters talk about Mohammed without putting the word Prophet in front of his name.
Good morning, friend. This is glorious news and no one in their right minds believes that a tape made at gunpoint has any meaning whatsoever.
< Agreed. The point is that the media aired Islamic propaganda. And some here deny that. >
Who in the world is denying that? Just because the words are not there doesn't mean it isn't implied.
Who was it that was using the word "nitpick"?
The same was said of POW tapes from Viet Nam. Who cares? The only people who believe this crap are the ignorant savages who are followers anyway.
