The enemy knows that we are a paper tiger. We invaded two countries and toppled two of the most brutal regimes known to modern man in the span of a year and a half, liberating over 50 million human beings. Billions of dollars and several thousand precious American lives later, we are proving daily that we won't cut and run in a long fight with these Islamic monsters. Over a 150,000 American troops are currently kicking terrorist rump in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our forces and intel services are hunting, killing and capturing Islamic terrorists all over the globe, notably in Pakistan, Yemen, and the Philippines...
Paper tiger my rump.

Hammas, Hezbollah, Fatah etc etc, there isn't any difference but in name and probably the amount of money their receiving based on their ability to do harm to the West and Israel.
Kind-of like salary bonuses in the US, you do a better job, bring more money into the company, higher bonus.
Personally, I see no difference in any of those groups though you are correct, it was Hezbollah not Hammas at war with Israel and in that I did misspeak.

I think people (palestinian leadership) look at what happened in Lebannon and decided taking prisoners in Gaza wasn't a good idea.

We can all pray that is what happens, and historically journalists have been let go in Gaza soon after their kidnapping unharmed.
Let's hope the barbarians got what they wanted, propaganda for the masses, Westerners "converting" by force and recognition of their group.

I knew what you meant, but some others did not. I also agree with you that they are emboldened.
This ended fabulously. Wow. I am happily surprised.

No kidding. And if they are miraculously released, when they go back to their normal lives, they will be hunted down for apostasy.

Nonsense. If you believe in an all-knowing, all-seeing God, then your God will know what you really believe and the words you utter under gunpoint will mean nothing.
In this situation, it is smart to pay lip service to these scumbags so that you have a least a chance to get out of there alive. You can always publicly renouce them later and maybe even join the Marines so you can go back over there with an M16 in your hands and even the score a bit.
At any rate, there is a saying "cut your nose to spite your face" and this loosely applies to this situation.
