That works for me.
Funny how all these terrorists and their supporters always wine about "human rights abuses", as if they gave a crap!
And the useful idiots join in.
Disgusting!
Mr, Whitney: The press is not the Church, the newsies are not the clergy. You are not above it all. By seeking to be "above" patriotism, you not only risk a very real backlash which may harm your fellow newsies and the nation as a whole, but you also end up being something lower than a patriot. If you condemn those who risk their lives to protect your rights, you are a moral parasite, despising those who provide you with the opportunity to express your contempt for them.
Their patience is not inexhaustible, and though their moral fiber is clearly stronger than yours (and their humility incomprehensibly more profound than yours) it is not infinitely resilient. One day you may find yourself without their protection. Then you may understand why your pretense of lofty and unspotted detachment is self-destructive and self-deceptive.
I don't really give much of a damn for you, but because I fear what this would mean for the rest of us, I hope you never find out the extent of your contemptuous and contemptible folly. Or if you do learn it some day, I hope it is at not too great a cost to our freedoms.
To begin with there were WMD's in Iraq!Admissions by Saddam's upper echelon are a matter of record they personally took part in the movement of these weapons to Syria. The moron writing this article is clearly a pathological liar and typical of the jealous(brainwash America with lies to bring down republicans)crowd.I've got news for the left,i hope some people from the leftist media get kidnapped and you are wasting your time reporting false news.No republicans are going to vote for democrats in the next election which is what its going to take for you to regain control!
I'm guessing this guy doesn't really watch Fox News, because if he did, he would see idiot lefties like him on their a majority of the time.
They probably just want to eliminate what's left of balanced reporting in the media.... :P
The other side is Christian Amanpour must be apprehended and tried for treason along with the officers and directors of CNN
So basically, by his own logic, he is also a journalist, if he writes about news. Then he can also be considered an enemy combatant?
Ok, lock this POS up!
You're a far better writer, than he.
Well said.
Whitney, a former official of the Snohomish County Democrats in Washington State, declared that The group which captured the two Fox employees did what they felt they had to do to address the egregious human rights abuses at American gulags at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. When peaceful means for acquiring justice are foreclosed, violence becomes inevitable. This truism is even enshrined in our own Declaration of Independence.
In a brief phone interview, before the line suddenly went dead, Whitney said he did not intend to justify the kidnapping of the Fox News Journalists but that I certainly understand it. When I told him that his column had put the lives of the journalists in danger, he shot back, I think that [responsibility] belongs to George Bush, not me. He said he doesnt want to see the journalists murdered.
However, Whitneys column, being circulated around the world on the Internet, has undoubtedly contributed to putting the lives of Centanni and Wiig in jeopardy. That has to be one reason why Steve Centannis brother Ken has just issued a new statement pleading for their release.
In a follow-up email, trying to mitigate the damage his column may have caused, Whitney expressed concern that his piece would become cannon-fodder for a smear campaign against him and that he does not regard Centanni and Wiig as legitimate targets but we can logically expect that extremist groups will continue to act similarly in the future.

Iraq vs. Tsunami: The Duplicity of the US Corporate Media
By Mike Whitney
Al-Jazeerah, January 1, 2005
The US corporate media has descended on the Asian tsunami with all the fervor of feral animals in a meat locker. The newspapers and TVs are plastered with bodies drifting out to sea, battered carcasses strewn along the beach and bloated babies lying in rows. Every aspect of the suffering is being scrutinized with microscopic intensity by the predatory lens of the media. This is where the western press really excels; in the celebratory atmosphere of human catastrophe
YES!
Media bashing seems to be his hobby. He thinks they are too pro-Bush, too "corporate."

He only bashes FOX. If you look at Post#31, he was working for Al-Jazeera then.
TO ALL WHO POST ON THIS THREAD:
These dopes obviously don't bother to watch Fox News field reporters from the Palestinian area. If they did, they would see that these reporters are very sympathetic to the poor little Palis. Yep, they know which side of the bread their butter is on.
...bet the black helicopters buzzing his home & office caused his reconsideration......
Fighting Jim Crow in Israel
...As a practical matter, the model of the Jewish state has failed. It has become a paranoid, war-mongering menace to itself and its neighbors. Israels abortive offensive in Lebanon only accentuates this point.
Israelis are less safe today than anytime in their history; their dogma-driven aggression has brought the entire Middle East to the brink of Armageddon.
The expansionist adventurism of their Prime Minister and the ideologues that surround him, are placing Israel at greater and greater risk all the time...
In which case, since they are fully itnergrated propagandists for the Islamic Facists we are completely in the right to call them Traitors.
