Bite your tongue! :-)
Or a half dozen chihuahuas ...
See #41, you naughty person!
As anyone who owns snakes will tell you (and I am one), if you own a snake, you WILL get bit. It is only a matter of time. Having said that, I have been bitten several times over the years, starting when I was still buying my first snake (Bull Snake, ~1971).
I have owned rats, hamsters, mice, lizards, snakes, cats, dogs. By far the most painful bite I ever got was from a hamster. Little bugger just sank his teeth into my finger and held on. But I guess since hamsters are little furry and cute, they seem 'nicer' than a legless scaled animal.
Having a snake(s) as a pet is pretty nice. Feed them once a week, they don't chew up your shoes, pee on the carpet, bark or meow all night. I get scratched up by my cats when they get startled much worse than any of my 5 snakes (which includes a Yellow Anaconda) will do to me.
I know it is not a really popular position to have, but snakes make Fine pets. Thanks :^)
Flames, Flames, Flames. :^)
Hey I have two wawas ... Fidel & Charo. Holding down the fort.
A pal of mine in youth used to keep snakes. He had several, including a Boa Constrictor. He seemed to enjoy it, but I couldn't help feeling they didn't exude much warmth - and I still feel that way.
Well, to each his own...
Well, I hope you don't plan on feeding them to anyone's pet python!
Not him. He had an adventurous streak a mile wide.
Actually he was a missionary there and was driving the new (then) road from Sao Paulo to Brasilia, the new (then) Capital.
Back then the road was through the middle of nowhere.
I was once visiting a Children's Museum and they were displaying a ferret. The fellow who brought him in held him out to me and the ferret very quickly climbed up my arm, nippety nipped my earlobe ever so gently and quickly and flew back down my arm - all in about four seconds. The ferret seemed to be so satisfied with himself after that. Didn't hurt my earlobe at all surprisingly.
"Agreed! Weird and creepy!....Only a very sick person would keep this creature for a pet."
I'm wary of people who describe others they don't know in these kinds of terms based on trivial things like the type of pets they keep.
OK and I am wary of a person who calls himself a Poison Pill. Even?
I have two sweet dogs, one's half chocolate lab and half Weimaraner; the other, apparently, is half black Lab and half Great Dane, but the Dane might be pit bull. There's also a very handsome, laid back, black snake who lives some place in my yard.
