Palestinian sources estimated that Saturday the affair of the two kidnapped journalists from Fox News in Gaza will come to an end. Saturday, the deadline of the 72-hour ultimatum put forth by kidnappers to the American government passes. According to the ultimatum, the American government had to release Muslim prisoners in American jails.
Despite the expiration of the ultimatum, the Palestinian Defense and Interior Ministry estimated that "the issue is being dealt with in a positive manner, such that the affair is likely to end Saturday." (Ali Waked)

Nothing makes bad press for terrorists faster than seizing journalists.

Ynet? It is a credible source, I am not so sure about the Palestinian ministry official.

So the Palestinians had no clue who was holding the hostages but they know as fact that they will be released on Saturday.
Anyone else see this as odd?

Dumb move. Even reporters working for Fox News will have their colleagues' sympathy in a case like this.
As far as the MSM is concerned, terrorists can kill all the Jewish women and children they want, because their cultural sensitivities must be respected, but reporters are sacred.

Ynetnews (Yedioth Ahronoth) is a very credible Israeli news source...one the first daily newspapers in Israel, founded in 1939.
To: RDTF
If true it simply shows us what absolute morons these terrorists are. Kidnap news reporters - Demand that ALL Muslims be released from jail - We tell them to go pound sand - They release hostages.
Can't the morons just shorten the whole process and stop kidnapping people?

This could have unintended consequences.
For example, it may interfere with FNC's coverage of the important, breaking John Mark Karr story. :)

I fear that this story is not true. We are getting to Saturday Evening over there, and no definitive news yet.
It was my understanding that these men were being held by a group of hard-core radicals, who would not be so willing ot negotiate.

Excellent news. I knew there was a reason for me to stop in at this very moment!
Looking forward to their safe release before the end of today...

To the contrary, I have seen nothing but good press as a result.
Fox and others have been routinely gushing about how the Pals and Hamas would never do this because its just not their style, that they are just simple warriors without tanks and NEED us (the MSM) to report their "victimhood", at the hands of the Israelis.
And how Hamas and the Pals are "working hard" for the reporters release.
These kidnappings are designed to get reporters to "report" more kindly about the terrorists.
Hamas and the Pals KNOW where they are, they know who has them, and just gave them a different name to pretend they are not involved.
These Islamic Cults often name themselves to confuse the West, but they are all the same.

For example, it may interfere with FNC's coverage of the important, breaking John Mark Karr story. :) What I am hearing is some sceaming about racial profiling. Bo Deadle (sp) laying it out.

maybe...but everything else pointed to them being amateurs
(choice of hostages, no communication or claim of responsibility for a long period of time, no specific demand) so hopefully they will be broken down and will give it up.
