Screw you. I worked for every bit of it and I still have 14 years of paying taxes on all the income it takes to buy those toys before I retire. Maybe you should try working for a living instead of acting like the world licked the red off your candy, eh?

You X'ers act like prosperity is something you steal rather than earn. Focus on income instead of the entitlements you aren't going to get, okay?

Gen-X is subsidizing his retirement....

That remains to be seen. Personally, I think that there is a huge pension bust coming as companies (initially) and then the local, state, and (finally) Federal governments decide they can't pay promised benefits. While people may still technically get pensions, it will be pennies on the dollar and almost no additional benefits.

I watched my Father's company incrementally strip him of his retirement benefits. The company also went through the step of forming a sham "association of retired employees" who trumpeted each reduction in benefits as a victory for the retirees. What a crock.

How we will pay for SS and Medicare is still an open question. It will be very hard to pull the same thing here--as the constituency is just too large. The Elites may still think that bringing in loads of young immigrants will solve it. And it may--at the Federal level. The problem is that the cost of social services at the local and state level will offset this contribution. It is just shifting the cost burden, but will allows the politicians in Washington to claim that these programs are being preserved. However, the cost will be the destruction of our culture and country.
