I agree in that a decent majority of Iraqi's though probably not pro-america are definitely anti-insurgent. Then there is a very very sizable chunk of the population who is either Shea or "Iranian Lite" who have strong loyalties to there militias who have killed and maimed our troops and there fellow country men and the various other pro-insurgent/militia groups who either are members themselves/have family members that are members/neighbors and friends are members/or are complicit in the attacks on our troops by not notifying them of the impending attack (our troops no they have walked in to a trap usually because they go through usually lively neighborhoods that are oddly quiet). And as far as Muslims in general go I don't think we have a majority on our side. I would say over 50% either condones terror on us or Israel.

I never stated our troops are against the war or did not value there mission. I can't speak for all soldiers but I do know a good amount of people in uniform and most are proud of what they have done but wish they were allowed to do there job as soldiers and not as armed social workers.

I cant imagine in ww2 our troops being reprimanded for making fun of the Germans or the Japanese.

doing this at this time would give the left more ammunition. Of course, they would just raise the din of their anti-everything, anti-Bush, anti-American rhetoric even more.

While I agree we should be fighting with our all, dealing with iran, at least for now, would be better dealt with by supporting the opposition Iranians who want to overthrow the Mullahs and Ahmanutjob.

Ideally, though not likely, Europe should be dealing with Iran instead of helping arm them. Until terrorism is so huge it will be extremely difficult to destroy, Europe will continue to kowtow to terrorists in hopes they will be left alone.

Not enough Euopeans learn from their history, just yet!

My apologies, I am dead tired (have not had a lot of sleep the past few days, my sister had backsurgerie on Wednesday and I have slept but a few hours this week)and I get ranting some times. Some of the language that is said on here in reference to them is over the top but a typical human response in dealing with a faceless enemy. We said horrible crap about the Japanese during ww2 and now we are best buds and have a strong alliance. There are a few who probably are racists on here but not to many I think.

As far as soldiers go, 99% say it as a way of getting themselves ready for what they must do, kill in quantity. That goes against everything we are taught in this country and in church so though it is necessary and in the long run will save countless lives on both sides, the human mind has to take the humanity out of the enemy. They are targets, charlie, "A-RABS", etc. You are not going to get a strong battle ready unit by leading them into battle by telling them "now lets go kill some fathers,husbands, and sons!". I apologize about the rant, but when I first posted I thought you were just a squishy p.c. type my apologies.

LOL! Over 30 years in uniform. I know where you're coming from...and I'm on the tired side also. There is less psychological profiling in the military today though (we're not at war with a nation but with an ideology). Yes, the language is still ripe and non-PC, but the troops turn it on-off pretty easily "for the most part". The gallows humor is still on the sick and twisted side but that's a copping mechanism. What those folks say is earned though...these keyboard commandos calling for death to all Mussies are sick.

Another thing the troops have going for them...a lot of them get the chance to visit the UAE which is a heck of a fun place.

CWO, just so you know, I am not one who thinks all Muslims are bad or terrorists. We actually need more help from Muslims in defeating these terrorists that have high-jacked the religion.

There are some very vocal Muslims standing up against the terrorists, as well as some 10,000 or so Arabs and Muslims serving in our Military already.

For some reason, our drive-by leftstream media deems it unnecessary to print those that do take a stand.

I've seen the anger and been subjected to that anger when I took a stand supporting Muslims that are not terrorists. I have even had some tell me that those serving in our Military could not be trusted as they will jump onto the side of the terrorists when the right time comes.

Sad to see otherwise sane people going berserk over another's religion.

Saw a show on the travel channel on Dubai once, looked awesome.
I definitely want to try out that hotel that looks like a kaleidescope.
