TOM 'INCENSED' SUMNER'S WIFE (Scientology/Armitage/Palme connection?)
New York Post ^ | August 25, 2006 | Richard Johnson

Posted on 08/25/2006 1:46:36 AM PDT by tlb

According to a just-declassified State Department schedule, (Tom) Cruise visited then-Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage on June 13, 2003, just an hour after Armitage had met with Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward. (It's speculated that Armitage outed Valerie Plame as a CIA spy at that meeting.)

Cruise was accompanied by Tom Davis, head of the L.A. Celebrity Center for Scientology, and Kurt Weiland, Scientology's veep of communications.

What was discussed? "Only Armitage can answer that question, and he's no longer here," a State Department spokesman told us. E-mails to Armitage and Cruise's rep weren't answered, nor was a call to Scientology headquarters.

Armitage and Scientology? If Armitage had met with Jerry Fallwell that special day I wonder if it would have taken three years to come out.

WTH? We've all been misled. It's Spyentology that Cruise is involved in, and Armitage is evidently The Gatekeeper. I feel so used.

I see Ms. Fortunato is half her husband's age, so Cruise's cradle robbing couldn't have offended the Redstones.

Well, isn't that interesting! I am trying to think why they would have met with Armitage, rather than someone in Congress.

Curiouser and curiouser...

"Cruise was accompanied by Tom Davis, head of the L.A. Celebrity Center for Scientology, and Kurt Weiland, Scientology's veep of communications."

Very curious. Weren't these the same two men who flew the Bin Laden family out of the country after 9/11?

What connection does Olof Palme have to Cruise and Armitage and why was a Swede involved in Scientology? Besides, I thought he was dead anyway.

Interesting article Mewzilla.

After the hurricane down here, Scientology showed up in droves and arrived to take over mental heath. I tangled with them a bit. They were downright scary, organized and had a mission.

And the interesting thing is that no official would say "no" to them. Now it was bad down here, nobody was saying no to any help. But they were on the spot, fast and ready. And they go into the shelters, field hospitals, etc.

What surprised me? Nobody objected.

We have an attorney and his wife who moved to this town after living in Clearwater, FL which is where the headquarters of Scientology is located. They left a town they had previously loved because Scientologists have taken over the town government there.

My brother worked for an attorney who went up against Scientology in the Lisa McPherson case; my sister-in-law was worried during that entire period and my brother's boss carried a gun and had bodyguards the entire time.

They are a very dangerous group of people. And people are afraid to go up against them.

They are all over the place in Tampa Bay. I found it weird when I went to a bird show in St. Pete's, among all the breeders with baby parrots, were tables with Scientology literature.

Does anyone know if Scientology still owns the internet provider Earthlink?

They provide, under other corporate names, corporate seminars that are filled with brainwashing. I know a few people who have unknowingly attended them only to later recount how weird and sometimes frightening the seminars were. They knew things weren't on the up and up and investigated and found the corporation hosting the seminars were directly related to Scientology.

WTH?!

Now there are two names I never thought I'd see in a headline together..Tom Cruise and Richard Armitage.

I lived in Clearwater 20 years ago..they were a very powerful influence in the town then- a once vibrant downtown had become a ghost town with their headquarters taking it over. Creepy people.
