BTW, it's apparent that you are a retread, kicked off a few years ago and now back under a new name.

There you go again relying on perception rather than fact. fyi, I have never had the need to change my name in any venue of public discourse. If you must know, what is "apparent" at this point is your complete and total inability to show where in the Constitution it guarantees my right to own beer. You have had ample opportunity to provide such evidence, yet you still offer nothing.

If you want to argue that owning beer is a God-granted right, then show some guts and make that argument. At least then you would have shown some degree of moral courage. But your present offering of ad hominems only relegates you to be worthy of DU.

But they should not say that such right is granted by the Constitution. It simply is not.

I learned in my 7th grade civics class that the Constitution doesn't "grant" any rights.

You must have been absent that day.

The Mad Mothers at work.

If they keep it up, sooner or later they're going to attract snipers.

Some of us are already working on having the IRS cancel their tax-exempt status.

MAD started as good organization with the best of intentions – but like many good groups, power became the driving force.

You must have been absent when I said that the Constitution does not grant the right to own beer. If you hadn't been wasting time wallowing in condescension, you would have seen that my position is consistent with that of your 7th grade Civics teacher.

My position all along has been that there is no guarantee to own beer enumerated in the Constitution. If you really believe what you learned in Civics class, then you wouldn't be disputing it.

Thanks to NC and MD, we have this d*mn "Click-it or Ticket" campaign that we have to hear every Memorial Day and also thanks to them and CA, the push by the Federal Gov't towards harsher Seat Belt laws - primary enforcement, more nanny state crap. My response to this campaign, "Click-it, stick-it". Leave us alone !

Virginia and North Carolina are model states for more Nazi type of traffic enforcement which makes their way to other states.

Unknown to many out of state motorists is getting caught speeding > 70 mph/55 mph zone, automatic license suspension by the NC-DOT. Also, > 80 mph in a 70 mph zone is also suspension. Go over to VA, more than 20 mph over the limit or over 80 mph is considered Reckless Driving with more points, definite insurance increase and license suspension.

Also with VA & NC, they have anal retentive vehicle inspection programs. Window tint too dark, no sticker. Having EU compliant headlights, also fail. Side note on EU headlights, they have better optics than US-DOT compliant lights. The Europeans also mention our headlamps suck when they visit here. Until president Reagan took office, we were not permitted halogens and we were forced to put up with the lame 85 mph speedo's even in sports cars like Porsches, thanks to Ms. Joan Claybrook of NHTSA. BTW, Ms. Claybrook is a big 55 mph lover and CEO of Public Citizen.

'Fraid you're right...we've passed the "gonna" and the new Prohibition is here.

Within the decade the NC law will be tied to Federal highway funding and all states will be forced to do the same.

Double damn.

I figured it out, you still ARE in the seventh grade. That solves it.

My position all along has been that there is no guarantee to own beer enumerated in the Constitution.

And THAT my little jr high friend, is a bald face lie.
