When I was eight my (since dehippified) parents asked me if I wanted to go to a disarmament rally in Central Park.
I asked them what it was about and they told me it was to get America and the Soviet Union to give up their nukes.
I told my folks that if we gave up our nukes, the Soviet Union would just lie about giving up their nukes and nuke us anyway, so I told them I didn't want to go.
I apparently was never a liberal.
