However, to my knowledge no one has yet found proof of a change to different species. We have found adaptation and mutation but I know of no species that has been proven to have "fathered" a new and separate species--genetically different. If I'm wrong, I would appreciate correction.

Do you believe that dogs are descendants of wolves? Do you belive that housecats are descendants of the big cats - tigers, etc? Surely you aren't talking about a 1-generation change in species, right? If this isn't a sufficient argument for you, I would have to ask you what you specifically referred to when you say "genetically different."
