The baby didn't bite the puppy did he? I hope that was a kiss.
My thought re: baby & puppy was first time baby the baby discovered someting called a puppy that upon seeing it feeling it's puppy kiss on the hand wanted to return the sweetness with a first time nuzzle & kiss.
