JMO, but Michael O'Shea was implying that he was breaking the law(i.e hiring a teenager(Glenn Beck)(cheap) to fill in the graveyard shift) in the below quote.

Michael O'Shea, the longtime manager of KUBE and now chief executive of All Comedy Radio, says no one pressed the issue of just how old Beck was. "I just assumed he was 18," he says. Beck was "as ordinary as they come" on the air, O'Shea adds, but to KUBE the attractions were that Beck actually showed up and did the graveyard shifts for what the station was willing to pay.

At the time in question, the law required minor employees to clock out at 9PM so that they could be home by 10PM curfew; it seems to have been liberalized some. However, if Beck was working at KUBE after midnight as a minor, then KUBE was violating the law.

BTW, I had to pay an amnesty on my speeding ticket.
