Yep. I'd like it to be either Condi or Newt.

How about BOTH President and Vice-President?

Newt's the man. Condi is so far left of Newt, she looks like a liberal Democrat. Pro killing babies, pro queers getting married, I could go on but no need. So far (up to now) She hasn't showed me much as the Sec. of State either. She can't just run on "she's smart" can she?

I really want Newt and would like for him to keep Condi in his Cabinet.

Too many Republicans are ready to drop the balloons on "Rice for President in 2008", and that is a serious mistake. We don't know anything about her positions on domestic issues. We know that she has the President's ear, which means she probably agrees with him most of the time on foreign policy and is a skilled defender of bureaucratic turf.

That's it. She is at best a mediocre public speaker. No one has seen her campaign. She has never run for office before. No one has ever been elected President never having previously held a elected office or served in the military.

I have heard that she is pro-choice. But we can't even be sure of that yet, because she quite properly hasn't spoken out on issues. I think Republicans like her because she is smart, black (putting the lie to the Democrat's assertions of Republican racism), and a woman (putting the lie to the Democrat's assertions of Republican sexism.) In other words, she is the Composite Republican Candidate Version 1.0. That's nice but utterly meaningless.

She might be so conservative that she puts Tancredo to shame. But we just don't know, so we ought not to anoint her just yet.
