Interesting that the ground controller who is talking mostly to the F-16 is a woman, but not really surprising, since many of our USAF and Navy controllers are also women. She's using what seems to me like normal military protocol. At least it sounds like the US intercept/weapons control protocol I've heard. BRA means "Bearing Range Altitude". She also refers to the Northwest aircraft as the "target", which can't have been too encouraging to its flight crew, assuming they could hear those exchanges. :)
Sorry for late reply. Her voice is quite clear. Don't know composition of their armed services compared to other European countries in terms of percent female / male.
No surprise, there, really. Most women I have known who have their stuff together are naturals at prioritizing and multitasking. (Dinner on the stove, kids asking homework questions, one skinned knee, dog whining to get out, phone ringing, etc., etc., etc.--all simultaneously handled, in order of criticality.)
