AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch police arrested 12 passengers on a U.S. Northwest Airlines plane bound for India which was forced to turn back to Amsterdam's Schiphol airport on Wednesday, news agency ANP reported.
ANP quoted a police spokesman as saying 12 were arrested, but declined to give further details due to the ongoing investigation.
Police officials were not immediately available to comment.
The Dutch Defense Ministry said earlier the pilot decided to turn back after the crew said several of the 149 passengers on flight 42 to Mumbai were behaving suspiciously.
Security has been increased at airports worldwide in the last two weeks after British police said they had foiled a plot by British Muslims to blow up planes in the mid-Atlantic using liquid explosives disguised as drinks.
It wouldn't take 12 phones to bomb a plane, would it? Sounds like they carried them on for someone to use or were playing the crew.

I recall reading several lengthy articles (and associated threads) written by Annie Jacobson describing the events of her travel with those mysterious muslim musicians. I didn't realize she had written a book about her experience. Do you happen to know the title?

I heard this morning a Dutch reporter that said the pilot dumping his fuel prior to return landing over inland waters was going to cause a local turmoil. LOL, the lefties are worried about envirnmental concerns of stopping terrorists...you can't make up this crud.
Snopes is good for some things, not so good for others. The people who run it are pretty far left.

As for their take on Annie Jacobson's story, the Snopes response has been around for a long time. Essentially, Snopes is simply taking the official denials and parroting them. The only real info you can get from Snopes on this story is that the Feds want the story to go away, and so do the people who run Snopes.
The only people I ever see doing the "nothing here, move along" stuff are FReepers -- usually on threads contradicting their very claims. Like this one!
There were air marshals on the flight. I'll take their version of events, along with the flight attendants', over some woman (however nice she may be).
