Australian sentenced for scheme targeting nation's electricity supply 08/22/06 11:45 PM, EDT An Australian man was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in prison for a nascent plot to attack the country's power grid that the judge said was aimed at making Australians live in constant fear of bomb attacks.

This excerpt was the CNN Alert I received tonight. Not thinking "well, of course, this is CNN" I thought "how strange for an Australian man to want to attack his nation's power grid". I followed the link to the article and only in the second paragraph did it all become clear. How PC of them!

Faheem Khalid Lodhi, 36, a Pakistan-born architect, was convicted by a New South Wales Supreme Court jury in June on terrorist charges of trying to buy chemicals that could be used to make explosives and obtaining maps of the national power grid.We can say it,even if cnn can't.

20 years is a good start. Life sounds better to me. We ought to be doing this to the eco-terrorists and bunny huggers too. Get them out of civilization forever, even on the first offense.
