There sure are a lot of conflicting stories making the rounds nowadays about whether or not the fence is being or is going to be built.
I haven't been down along the border lately, so I don't have first-hand knowledge.
I find it interesting that an ICE spokesman has finally said that the federal government is preparing to fence off the border. ( http://www.svherald.com/articles/2006/08/22/local_news/news1.prt )
