Oh, but unlike YOU, I AM "informed". I do know about that and it isn't the MCDC people doing that, up north.
The locals know more about the rough terrain in the back country better than the Border Patrol officers (who are usually shipped in from elsewhere) do.
This part of the border where I live had 2 agents stationed here, patrolling over 300 miles between the two of them. Since 9/11, there are now 24 agents patrolling that same 300 miles of border, and most of them had originally been posted down in Arizona.
