I just finished reading this excellent assessment of the Arab military and it's mindset. Perhaps I am the proof positive for one of the authors main points, since the article is written in such a clear and concise manner. I am a woman, have never served in the military, and I feel that I have a good grasp on the author's assessment. The overall mindset of the Arab military thinking seems to be linear thinking vs. circular thinking. The Western philosophy vs. the Arab philosophy aka ISLAM.
