The facts are sufficiently clear that we must begin to question the judgment, if not the motivations, of those at home who persist in trying to obscure the central threat we face from the totalitarian political ideology known as Islamofascism.
In recent days, it has become harder than ever to deny the true nature of the conflict in which we find ourselves. As President Bush put it recently, "We are at war with Islamic fascists." To be sure, the mounting evidence does not preclude some from denying this reality. The facts are sufficiently clear, however, that we must begin to question the judgment, if not the motivations, of those at home who persist in trying to obscure the central threat we face from the totalitarian political ideology known as Islamofascism.
One straw in the wind could be found in Sunday's New York Times which prominently featured an article entitled "And Now Islamism Trumps Arabism." Although the author, writing from Cairo, used throughout the euphemism "political Islam," the import was unmistakable: With its attacks on Israel and its survival of Israeli retaliation, the Iranian- and Syrian-supported Islamofascist terrorist group, Hezbollah, has added luster and new recruits to longstanding efforts to subject the entire Muslim world and, in due course, all non-Muslim populations to Taliban-style Islamist rule.

While we watch pro sports, go shopping, see movies, Muslims are waging war around the world. We are soft. One of my criticisms of President Bush has been his failure to address our internal security threats from Islam - like letting them be in our country. Freedom of religion - to what end? We need to secure our borders and kick out the Muslims. Then fight them around the world.

I find this to be a strange article. Your mileage probably differs.
The author takes care to leave religion out of the opening grafs, which seemed odd. Then he whines that he suffered in a debate when anti-Muslim was used in the manner anti-Semite is used, as verbal attack.
He ends the article urging the unleashing of a war of ideas.
We're past the need for a war of ideas. I think the author is still flinching from his debate hit, which might explain the incoherence of this piece.
There is nothing difficult to understand regarding the current, "War at home". 1/2 of the United States population is so hungry for power, they will do anything at all to regain the power they lost in 2000. They are so fed up with being losers, they will sacrifice the security of the entire United States, just to be, "Winners" in the political arena. Contrary to the flowers and daisies picture that many would like to retain, this astronomically, selfish philosophy began when the, "beloved Lincoln" warred against his own country. He, also was so hungry for power. But, chances are, his, "beloved status" will remain, and the status of our country will get worse, simply because of the failure to see the HUGE blunder of the past by the oh, so, "beloved Lincoln"...
