( No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo!)
James Webb has lost his everloving mind.

This will all blow over. In fact, it will backfire in Webbs face, IMHO.
Webb is a sure loser this November.
Glad to see however that despite that he is running a good, clean race focused only on the big issues.
"Macaca" sounds like an Irish name.
I wonder when Webb is going to apologize for his close friendship with John Kerry, and his efforts during Viet Nam to encourage our military personnel to desert from the military, and for those drafted to refuse to serve their country.
Thanks for the post, Gopher Broke!
Allen and Webb agree to TV debate
Senator and opponent will square off Oct. 9 in hour-long event
...They are scheduled to appear together on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sept. 17. A day later the two will debate before the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon meeting.Dick Wadhams, Allen's campaign manager, did not rule out further debates. Webb, who is not as well-known as Allen, has been pushing for more debates.
As for the apology...
Statement from Senator Allen on Comments at Breaks Interstate Park
I never want to embarrass or demean anyone and I apologize if my comments offended this young man. Even though he has signed onto my opponents campaign, I look forward to seeing him on the trail ahead.
Is she twelve? What a childish, crappy rant.
I notice Mr. Webb ceased his name calling (using Felix incessantly) in this particular appeal. I'm quite certain it's just a coincidence. ;-)
Webb may have discovered something that I learned while working a phone bank for Jerry Kilgore: many of the people that I talked to were absolutely irate about negative campaigning. The media was able to convince them that Kilgore started it all, and many people who didn't know any better bought that hook, line and sinker. Results: Governor Kaine (yecch!). If people perceive that Webb is running a negative campaign, he will be soundly thrashed. I think he'll be soundly thrashed whether he runs a negative campaign or not. The negative campaigning would just exacerbate the level of his thrashing.
Sounds like Macaca to me.
Letting a girl do your fighting for you there Jimbo? You're such a macaca-head!
PRobably stopped using felix because everyone would realize how childish webb is. TO this point nobody's probably been paying attention to those press releases.
Bingo
I think the allen people ought to bring back up webb's silly press releases, including his cowboy one. Talk about bigoted and mean.
I'm sure they're in someone's back pocket, when and if they need 'em. :-)
Webbs more recent 8/22 email:
Dear Friend,
See the truth about George
Allen's devotion to Bush:
watch our new web video!
Virginians are taking notice of the real Senator George Allen and his bullying tactics, as a new SurveyUSA poll released yesterday shows that Jim Webb has closed the gap to 48%-45%, well within the poll's margin of error.
While Senator Allen has clearly gone to great lengths to hide the side of his personality that would lead him to shout "Welcome to America" to an Indian-American Virginia native, there's another aspect of his behavior that lies in clear view for all to see: his undying devotion to the agenda of President Bush.
George Allen has voted to support George W. Bush's agenda 97% of the time, from supporting the misguided War in Iraq to backing the President's stem-cell veto. George Allen even said he wished the president would support him 100% of the time! I wonder if the president supports Senator Allen's bullying tactics as unequivocally as Allen does Bush's agenda.
Tomorrow, George W. Bush will reward Senator Allen's devotion, headlining a fundraiser for Allen at the home of former RNC Chair Ed Gillespie in Alexandria. So to underscore George Allen's love affair with George Bush's agenda, we've prepared an online video -- the first in a series of web videos that will continue weekly until the election -- that highlights a few of this duo's "greatest hits." Click here to see why Jim Webb is the clear choice for any Virginia voter who is tired of the direction the President is leading us.
A poll last week from SurveyUSA showed President Bush with only a 41% approval rating in Virginia, so we know that the voters of the Commonwealth are ready for a Senator who will push back against the President's misguided agenda. Quite clearly, George Allen is not that Senator.
Tomorrow afternoon, the two Georges will be enjoying a reception with the deep pocketed special interests. The truth is we'll never be able to overcome George Allen's entrenched financial advantages, so we have to run an innovative, non-traditional campaign that relies on our supporters to help us spread our message to the voters. Our grassroots support propelled us through the primary, and I have no doubt that you will help us now.
Help us educate Virginia voters about George Allen's lockstep support of President Bush -- watch the video today.
Then forward this message to your friends, family, or anyone else you'd like know the full facts about George Allen's record!
George Allen has raised millions of dollars from lobbyists and other big-money supporters, but we can overcome his money because we have a candidate who is fighting for all of us who are rallying behind him for change. By using the Internet to spread Jim Webb's message, you can help us beat George Allen.
You've turned this into a tight race thanks to your support. Now let's push Jim Webb over the top!
Sincerely,
Jessica Vanden Berg
Campaign Manager
Webb for Senate
P.S. Remember, by working to spread the word about the real George Allen, you are helping us overcome his big money advantage -- forward this message to your friends today so they can learn more about Allen's 97% support of President Bush's agenda!
