Good work. Thx!
Ping for later. Looks good.
Excellent summary, but the problem is few will read this, few will understand it. The question keeps being asked, "What can WE do to make things better?"
George Bush has the (an) answer. Free a country in the region and let it spread. The Islamics are petrified of freedom for the masses.
Good post
A child running through a minefield will not set off an anti-tank mine. Decent article until I read that.
Good read !
In the mean-time, I hope those crazy Islamofascists don't blow the world up.
I think, at best, the jury is still out on that idea.
The value of democracy/liberty as an antidote to islam has been refuted by the election of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Muslim Brotherhood to seats in respective legislatures. If islam can threaten historically free countries like those in Europe, it can take power in newly democratic countries in the ME.
Freedom begins in the heart and only later is institutionalized at the ballot box. Since religion and politics in Islam are inseparable there can be no meaningful political reform without prior (or at least concurrent) religious reform. This is the aspect of the struggle which no leader in the West will dare utter, and yet without a frank acknowledgement of the true dimensions of the problem there can be no meaningful progress.
Sad to say, that is a valid point. A democracy can only work where people can vote as individuals, and do not LIKE the concept of "Submission", a filthy word to free people.
Bookmarked for later
They assume that Muslims, if only educated, will inevitably follow the path of Western Civilization through the Renaissance, the the Reformation, and the Enlightenment.
They also assume that the excesses of fundamentalism will inevitably defeat it, as the excesses of Cromwellian Puritanism brought about a backlash in England and the merriment of the Restoration.
This is a mistake.
bookmarked for this evening.
If we had known many things as a nation at-large about "the Japanese" before December 7th, we would have been fully ready for them to fly over on that Sunday. In fact, we would have appreciated and understand their tacit declaration of war, defacto and not dejure, only if we had interpreted their samurai culture, languages and codes.

Could Iran have stolen those elections?
Islam doesn't create so everything it has is stolen.
A man will be ruled by Christ, or he will be ruled by tyrants.
