The nuns at my Catholic school taught us Scripture and the Church's teachings. I don't see a problem with women spreading the word of God to anyone.
They ran a tight ship, and were so devout in not only their teachings, but the lives they led.
I had some of the most comprehensive teaching of the Catholic faith while attending studies at the convent.
They also would take us down to the bakery after class for a treat. The best!
