What wimpy Alexandrian Text-based version was that?

The KJB is so much more firm, not to mention more accurate to the vast majority of the Greek manuscripts extant (Textus Receptus; Majority Text).

"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
"For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (1 Tim. 2:11-14)

That is only one of a series of Scripture passages on the same subject that is the Authority for our ministry and for the churches we plant. Older women teach younger women a particular set of subjects as outlined in Titus chapter 2, but women neither teach men, nor hold any position of authority over men in the assembly of the church. Women do not teach in any Sunday school class where there are boys older than ten years old. Eleven year old and older boys are under male Bible teachers. Women may teach classes of all girls.

We do not have one-person-one-vote in our church. Our local church is governed by the consensus of the heads of households, with certain of these heads delegated to survey any needs of widows or other single women that may need to be addressed.

For what it's worth, I'm praying for a lot of people on this thread.

OK, now, stand on your head and twist some doctrines to justify Sunday School.

There are still plenty of folks out there who condemn it as extra-Biblical.

That's not the kind of Baptist church I grew up in. One person one vote, for all those in Christ. Pretty much the same way that the decision for the new disciple was made in Acts.

Well, there we never threw lots. Maybe we need to take another look at that.
