The ultras think the Palestinians want Israel to keep on occupying them? They may be right but not because they want an independent state but because they want to eradicate Israel. And getting the job done is a lot easier if they can rely on useful idiots like Gadi Taub to advance it.

This article is absolutely true. The Palestinians and their allies will never agree to a partition for exactly these reasons and more (i.e. no more free "refugee" aid, no more reasons to complain etc).
So what should Israel do?
Withdraw anyway, and prepare for war. Only when it comes, win it - no stalemates.
