I wouldn't go that far. Hollywood has been struggling, the MSM is on a downward spiral, church attendence is steady, and the dems are not going to regain either house in congress. Not bad for the good ol USA.

Their numbers are going down certainly, but they lie better and more often now. Trust me, their influence is still HUGE. And keep in mind that political jibes are made and influence created on shows like Leno and Stewart's, and Letterman, etc. The old media STILL RULES (watch how they promote and protect Hillary through '08)! I don't want it to be so, but I see.
