We used to be hermits. Never knew what was going on in the world because the local paper only had local news, we were too far in the boonies for TV reception and the local radio station only had local news. Now we have a satellite dish for TV, still get only local radio stations and have a LAN for our computer.

We were much happier as hermits, no news was good news..

Up until 15-20 years ago that's the way it was around these parts too except that we did get one fuzzy (and I do mean fuzzy) TV station out of Reno.
