Ridiculous,eh? How is it ridiculous for a 'hijacked religion' to CLARIFY what it's dogma is, in clear and uncertain terms, especially when it is so WIDELY being 'misinterpreted'? Peaceful coexistence isn't worth a little editing and rewriting?
Would any sane being rather see all this death and destruction if a TRUE INTERPRETATION could end it?
It would also officially and cleanly marginalize the 'terrorists', wouldn't it? Of course they would hold to the 'old interpretation' and follow clerics who espouse it, leaving the 'majority, good Muslims' proudly standing up for the New Islam. The one no one can misinterpret.
But- that can never happen can it? Instead, the words being 'misinterpreted' are themselves revered as holy and unchangeable- much more important than depriving the 'terrorists' of the Koranic permission they claim.

Because Islam is ONE when it comes to the hatred for non-Islamics and the goal of an Islamic world. The Koran cannot be changed, or altered, or reinterpreted by Islamic law. And if it is- Muslims will kill the apostates who do it.
The fanatically desperate desire to separate Islam, as it is now perceived by the world, from the Koran is astounding.
Does ANY other religion in the world demand that it not be judged by it's own scriptures?
The Koran isn't being misinterpreted at all. Even the so-called 'good Muslims' know that. If it were , they should be the first people screaming for reform and exoneration by making a CLEAR, definite move to define Islam properly. They choose to suffer prejudice and suspicion instead??

You know as well as I that 'good' Islam would have no problem at all if these 'terrorists' succeed in conquering the world for Islam.
And I never 'kid' about millions of people who subscribe to a belief system that says I should submit or die.
