Jeb is Not running. He's said so many times just like Condi so we can rule him and Condi out.

I truly don't think Jeb would get elected...

If it is another Bush vs. another Clinton, Bush wins.

I will choose none of the above over two liberal New York lawyers and so will a lot of others...

mccain and guiliani are pro amnesty. I wouldn't vote for either of them.

I'm not too thrilled with the list of potential candidates, especially not the top three as they are the worst.

John McCain - (Nutcase, Manchurian Candidate, gave us the egregiously unconstitutional McCain-Feingold limits upon speech, pro-amnesty for criminal invaders, open borders)

Rudy Giuliani - (Big spender, pro-abortion - even against banning partial birth murder, adulterer, anti-gun, RINO)

Condoleezza Rice - (Pro-abortion, moderate to liberal politically, not doing such a great job as Sec. of State demonstrating lack of ability to be President)

Newt Gingrich - (probably conservative enough but he's kind of a "has been", plus some aren't to keen on voting for adulterers and the way he dumped his first and second wives may cause even more problems. What? You didn't now he was a serial wife dumper? First wife had MS and he dumped her on Mother's Day. Second had just been diagnosed with cancer. )

George Allen - (Maybe. He's pro-life. Has pretty decent ratings from conservative groups based upon his somewhat conservative voting record. Probably the most conservative person on this list but the collective "Who??" from the voters may not help him. )

Mitt Romney - (Just plain not ready for it yet. Plus, he's a bit too much of a moderate for my taste despite the fact that we both share the same religion.)

Bill Frist - (Yawn...)

Sam Brownback - (Pro-life record is good. Conservatives groups give him decent ratings. His voting record and statements on illegal immigration and the border give me pause though. The "Who??" factor will hurt him too.)

Accurate, if discouraging.

Note this is not of Republican voters but registered voters.

Yeah, those stupid voters just laying there being force fed politicians they don't want. Give it a rest. Do you object to the interruption in the converage of John Karr?

There is nothing to ignore. Tancredo has only a slightly better chance to get the nomination than I do.

Well you have a point. But I can't think of anyone else who is even thinking about running. Hopefully that will change by 2008. Maybe we will have a few surprises waiting in the wings

Surprising numbers for Condi--wonder if it means anything?

This is what Rush calls "conventional wisdom." I do not know what will happen, but I do think that the nomination is in the rolodex.

George Allen is my first choice. I like Newt and think he'd be good but with his moral background, I don't think the Christian conservatives would vote for him.

LoL now you think the GOP had something to do with this poll? What next manipulation by the Overlords of Zoltar?

And you are completely wrong about the ability of Hillary to beat either McCain or Guiliani or any Republican. She does not stand a chance even if you and your friends sulk in your rooms.

Mumm, that's 50% of the vote. Perhaps they will run together. A kind of co-presidency. Then, maybe not! :)

These aren't true polls and we all know it. It is a test to see how we react to a RINO.

Anyone heard if Rick Santorum has thrown his hat in?

He is a conservative in a tight battle for reelection for the Senate in a fairly liberal state...(Penn) ...perhaps once focus is off the 2006 election...

There are also a host of Republican governers which would be better then the favortie media candidates....

Things change... and so do people change their minds... I don't rule anything out, especially when the leftist media is trying to hijack the GOP primary with their fake polls and television talking heads.

No, I won't stay home either. I AM praying for a conservative candidate who believes in cutting taxes, pro-life, anti-gay marriage, etc., etc., same as most of us, I guess. It can happen.

I think it's a shame that GWB is not eligible for a third term. Darn that 22nd Amendment! GWB has at least 8 good years in the tank and the American people don't like changing presidents during wartime (which is main reason FDR got those extra two terms).

That said, I wonder if his father is eligible being that he only got to serve one term. I saw him in a news clipping recently and he still looks healthy enough to give us four more years. Maybe he could personally undo some of the mistakes he made during Gulf War I.

Or what about brother Jeb?

If George Bush was able to run for a third term I would vote for him. But alas he can't. Jeb said NO to running for president. Maybe in 2012.
