The Republican Party, a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is in the grip of a cult called Economism. It is all about money now. The GOP worships at the Church of GDP Ha! So we would be spending all this money in the ME because....
Pat, put down the leather jacket and take off the skis.
To: Crazieman
Don't be an ass. That isn't anything near what I said.
To: sinkspur
If you're not a white European, Pat pretty much thinks you're a second-or-even-third-class human being.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
don't confuse racism with American culture and sovereignty. A mexican just told you Buchanon's right on and you ignore her statement. Are you european, and white? Do you consider her opinion irrelevant enough to not even ask her why she thinks this? It sounds like you think her opinion doesn't count.

I know Buchanan is wrong on most issues -- I think he's an isolationist and anti-Semite. But EVEN HE can get something right!
The fact is that his data comport with the comprehensive research study by Robert Rector of Heritage and innumerable others.
We are faced with higher (and increasing daily!) taxes for illegals. For prison incarceration, bankrupt school districts, insolvent hospitals, the drug cartel, the farce of bi-lingualism, and countless other social and economic burdens that are literally destroying our culture.
And it's astonishing that Bush and Congress appear oblivious to the national security dangers of open borders in this age of international terrorism! Do we have a death wish?

And on the same note, don't confuse Pat Buchanan with logic and sensibility......

Buchanan is an old fool. His rants are increasingly irrelevant. What is it with these old paleos?
Paul Craig Roberts went from an assistant Treasury secretary under Reagan to needing a drool cup under his chin with his pro-terrorist editorials.
Buchanan has never favored an Israeli state, nor does he care much for immigration, unless the immigrants are white Europeans.
So, of late, he's been reduced to complaining about Jews or Mexicans.
Pretty pathetic.

Mr. Buchanon begs to differ with your assessment.

If Newt talked like this I would send him a check for $1,000 tomorrow ... no ... I'd send it tonight.
To: Bubble Girl
I'm Mexican and Buchanan is pretty much dead on about this. Too bad he's anti-semitic.
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
could you elaborate. Is this La Raza, and Reconquista movement really getting traction in the southwest? I know the immigration marches were massive and well orchestrated, but I thought is was more frustration with America and illegal status than an attempt to seize power. Also, I think Mexicans have their own agenda and culture and that this is not some racial "hispanic" thing. Spanish speaking people are very culturally diverse and don't act or think as one "nationality".
To: VU4G10
If illegals are continued to be given a free pass by the Feds, they will eventually overrun the southwest. No doubt about it. So, on the immigration issue Pat Buchanan is absolutely right. People who ignore the facts, deny the truth and overlook the obvious about the illegal immigration problem facing America today, aren't serious conservatives and have no creditbility to speak of.

What? Broken clock! He's right on this, you know.

A mexican just told you Buchanon's right on and you ignore herBuchanan's a demonstrated racist. David Duke might get a fact or two correct from time to time as well, but it's really hard to get past his history.

But Julie-Annie made New York such a liveable city and has such great leadership abilities. </sarcasm>

Buchanan seems to have a fixation with the Roman Empire. Rome never fell; it just changed it's form of governance. Rome's power may not be what it used to be, but it still holds influence over a large portion of the world population. Same war, just new battles.
