There is always Ice Storm season, Tornado season and bird flue out there flappin' somewhere.

A stash is a good thing to have just in case.

If I recall, he claimed it was warmer last year because of global warming also.

LOL

Funny.

But if you think about it for awhile, scary.

Think about it......

"Global warming is blamed for the unprecedented, record lack of tropical storms and hurricanes this year...."

Hey, I'm in Las Vegas....I'll bet I see that headline in less than two weeks. Odds?

Our local TV channel has quite a team of meteorologists, but no weather.

When the 'canes come, they do a good job, but I do have a complaint with the news teams.

For several days after a bad storm hits, power & cable are out. Most people have a generator, or a battery operated TV, yet are limited to local channels because cable is out.

While I understand the need to make public announcements, the local channels suspend ALL entertainment programming, 24/7, & monotonously repeat the locations where ice & MREs may be found. They don't even give you the national & world news, unless it pertains to the 'cane.

These people need to realize that after the storm has passed, people are stressed to the max in the affected areas, exhausted from the cleanup effort, scrambling to return to normalcy & BOORED to death at night, under curfew.

Couldn't the local networks hold off on the endless satellite loops of the storm coming ashore, & give us a little entertainment at night? ANYTHING! Old sitcoms, game shows, movies, cartoons, commercials, ANYTHING! Hell, I'd watch reruns of Will & Grace - at least they'd all be new episodes for me.

Wouldn't this help people recover emotionally, just at the ice & MREs help with physical recovery?

OBTW, by the time the local storm coverage is over or cable is restored, I am so sick of looking at the local news teams that I tune them out for months afterward.

What if global warming... stops hurricanes?

It has been a very hot summer.

Lately it has become PSYCHOMETEROLOGY.

Remember, there is a difference between metrology and meterology.

Same thing with my leftist hippie sister.
"Its all global warming, man...Its all connected. Trees in the amazon, polar bears dieing, and Bush's illegal war for oil!"
(The above was an actual transcript of a conversation with my hippie leftist sister.)
