President Bush will do little to nothing to stop the Iranians from exporting IED's to Iraq, development of their nuclear program, supporting Hizbullah, etc. The Iranians are perfectly aware that the Bush administration will take no serious steps to stop any of these activities.

This silly "cease-fire" Bush engineered with the French probably left the Iranians laughing hysterically at just how weak the West has become.

As for sending more troops to Iraq. Ya, it might help to some degree, but what we are really talking about here is imposing American will on an Islamic land. We might could achieve some success if we were willing to be brutal and ruthless with anyone in Iraq who oppose us, but the American people are not ready to support a war like that. Not yet anyway.

We will never democratize this religion...Even in the US with the moderate, civilized mudlims, they are trying to push Sharia law in their midsts...

We can beat them and control them...We will never tame them...

In Iraq, they will continue to kill each other til one side has the power...We can't stop them...

Hugh Hewitt said last week that Israel's Olmert asked President Bush to negotiate the cease-fire resolution, so the president put Condi on it because he didn't think it would be wise to press Israel to continue against Hezbollah if Olmert wanted to quit. Also, another point is that Iran said it has a missile that would hit Israel and they would use it if Syria were threatened. This may mean that Israel is not well lead, or it may mean there is more intelligence about their strategic position than we know about (which undoubtedly is true, but who knows to what extent).
