NEW YORK: In the series of emails that prompted police to arrest him, John Karr said he identified with Michael Jackson's attachment to children and, like the singer, compared himself with Peter Pan.
"I am trapped in a world that does not understand," Karr wrote to a Colorado journalism professor during a four-year correspondence. "I can understand people like Michael Jackson and feel sympathy when he suffers as he has … I do think that he is sexually attracted to certain children but could never divulge this."
His emails to Michael Tracey, which began after he saw one of his documentaries about the murder, displayed an obsession with JonBenet Ramsey and delusions about his notoriety, claiming falsely to be the subject of "a four-state federal investigation for child murder".
Karr even wrote a poem for the child. "JonBenet, my love, my life. I love you and shall forever love you," it read.
"If there is to be a life for me after this one, I pray that it will be with you - together forever with you and other little girls who are gone now from my life forever. That would be my Heaven."
The prose in Karr's emails is markedly different from that of the three-page ransom note JonBenet's killer left behind.
Karr lost his job, wife and contact with his sons after a child pornography arrest in 2001. He said, "I lost every friend, contact and family member as a result of this investigation. Some of my closest little girls were questioned by the authorities which broke my heart into pieces. I will never have contact with anyone in my past ever again."
The emails also touch on Karr's childhood.
Tracey: "You told me once that your mother tended to raise you as a girl. This must have had a powerful effect on your developing sexuality - confusion maybe?"
Karr: "Michael, I will not discuss my sexuality as if it is a psychological disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders".
Karr said he feels at home only among children.
"My peer group has not changed since I was a little boy, and girls were the people I was with always," he wrote.
"I can only say that I can relate very well to children and the way they think and feel."

Democrats should hire Karr as their spokesman. They have a lot in common. One likes to molest little girls for his own gain and the other likes to molest the American People for their own gain.
Nahh. It appears that he likes little girls. If he liked little boys then that would be OK, but he's probably too homophobic for the Dems.
And moviegoers used to think that Linda Blair was possessed by Lucifer the Father of Lies.
This guy sure isn't helping Michael Jackson's case much, is he.
If I were Michael Jackson (well, I'm not), I would have my lawyers contacting his lawyers, and be passing the message, "STFU, rectal orfice."

I suspect Karr got some of the information about the JonBenet killing from his "email habit" with other pedophiles. One of those email friends, was the killer, or had had contact with the real killer. To find the killer -- email contact search...

I'm sure he identifies just fine with Michael Jackson. I'm sure the guy is a nut case pedophile. I just don't believe that he is the murderer of JonBenet Ramsey. I still believe that hits a little closer to home. I think that the BDA announcing this arrest with little evidence is a good thing. At least it puts the case in the spot light again, and the pressure back on the DA to git er done.
